Running around in the dark with a laser gun is fun all on its own. What makes laser tag even more fun is how versatile it is. There are tons of different variations and games you can play with laser tag. Most laser tag arenas are set up with bases for each different team. Here are some ideas of games you can play with your friends this weekend. Laser tag general rules and good sportsmanship must be observed at all times during these games.

Capture the Flag

The goal is to steal the opposing team’s flag and return to your base. Set up a flag at your team’s base. If a player is running with the flag and gets tagged out, they must return the flag to its base. The game ends when one team successfully captures the other team’s flag.

Starbase Troopers

A team role play-based game where a medic and a commander are assigned to each team and troopers make up the rest of the team. Troopers will have 5 health and 10 power. The commander can replenish a player’s power and a Medic can replenish a player’s health by tagging them (providing that they are on the same team). The medic and commander both have 10 health each but unlimited power.

Survivor Solo

This is the simplest laser tag, where it is each person for themselves. The goal is to tag everyone else out, and the last man standing wins the game. If the game ends in a draw with a couple of players unable to tag each other out, whichever one has tagged more players out wins.

Survivor Team

This is a three or more team game where one team wins when all other members of the opposing teams have been tagged out. Teams can form alliances if they desire in their quest to defeat another team.

Vampires 

Vampires attempt to convert all humans to spawn, and humans attempt to destroy the vampire. Spawn battles for the vampire, attempting to convert the rest of the humans into spawn. The vampires win either if all the humans are turned to spawn or at the end of the game there are the same or more spawn than humans.
